The Creative Process

Fashion as a form of expressing oneself.

The body is the genesis of Jesús del Pozo's creative process.

Creativity does not begin with a pencil and a blank piece of paper, but with the way in which a fabric falls over a tailor's dummy. He first observes how it hangs, the nuances of its texture and colour as it covers the body. He feels its weight too, and begins to outline the movement that will transform it into a bias cut dress, a fitted jacket or the perfect trouser.

Its an intuitive process that captures the excellence of Parisian Haute Couture, where all is made by hand. With the mastery acquired through experience, Jesús del Pozo sculpts each silhouette, refining it at each fitting. Studying the movement of each piece, ensuring that it moves in harmony with the body, is essential. It must flow with each curve and become one with it. Only then can a piece of clothing become poetry in motion.
